The Cocoa Pod Pendant Necklace honours Ghana’s deep connection to cocoa — one of the world’s largest producers — where the cocoa pod has long symbolised growth, abundance and prosperity.

At its heart is a sculptural brass cocoa pod pendant handcrafted in Ghana using the ancient lost-wax casting technique. Each piece begins as a hand-carved wax form, encased in clay and transformed in molten brass before being gold plated. The mould is broken after casting, meaning no two pendants are ever identical. Subtle surface textures and organic markings remain — quiet traces of heritage craftsmanship.

The story then continues in London.

In my studio, each pendant is thoughtfully assembled by hand and paired with a rich red twisted cotton cord,a bold yet grounding contrast inspired by the warmth of cocoa and the vibrancy of West African colour. This meeting of Ghanaian casting tradition and London craftsmanship creates a piece that bridges origin and contemporary expression.

The pod pendant (approx. 3 × 6 cm) rests at 37 cm, sitting slightly lower on the neckline with a smooth, grounding presence against the skin. Its sculptural form elevates even the simplest outfit. Worn solo, it carries quiet cultural power; layered, it becomes part of your personal language of adornment.
